1) What is Microdermabrasion?
It is a skin resurfacing procedure used
in addition to chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. This

Aestheticians began utilizing the modality three years ago to create the "LUNCH
TIME PEEL".

What
is the procedure?
The clinician uses a hand piece connected
to a compressor which disperses an abrasive substance (usually aluminum oxide)
in crystalline form. This abrasive substance is pulled from a reservoir, passes
through the hand piece and passes back and forth on the skin, abrading it. The
used abrasive material and dead skin is vacuumed into a repository for easy
removal. Layers of the epidermis are removed and extension into the dermis is
possible.
3) How much discomfort will experience ?
